Find out why property in Kas is so desirable - Bohemian and much understated Kas is home to a small number of ex-pats, who value their privacy too much to purchase a home in nearby Kalkan. Although both of these charming towns enjoy similar dramatic sea views and exciting landscape, Kas tends to attract a more discerning property buyer.
Well known archaeological sites such as the world's first parliament building on Turkey's longest beach Patara and the sunken city of Kekova are situated within the township of Kas. Kas has a small and very authentic town centre with an ancient fishing harbour. Panoramic seaside homes much sought after by overseas property buyers are generally located along the narrow and long Kas Peninsula.
Peninsula's homes are generally stone built or stone-clad with pitched roofs in typical Kas architecture, which does not favour contemporary designs. Villas tend to be rather private and mostly afford sea views with a good number of waterfront homes available. Seafront locations carry a premium and there are very few plots available for further development. Although a good number of villas have water access, mooring directly in front of your property in Kas is not practical or advised due to the exposed position of the peninsula. Thankfully Kas has a beautiful and modern marina, where you can safely and most economically park. show less
