This gigantic art gallery holds an impressive collection of contemporary art from Turkey and across the globe. Opened in 2004, the gallery works hard to promote home-grown talent, and the set up is modern, fresh and spacious, with exhibitions changing regularly.
The gallery is housed in a former customs warehouse and has an impressive 8000 square metres of exhibition space. A staircase of shattered glass and an installation of books suspended over the library are the most popular attractions in this cutting-edge space.
A cinema in the basement screens world films and there's an excellent restaurant/cafe on the ground floor, overlooking the river.
