Now this is something you won't find in every city.
Istanbul's balloon tours allow you to see the city from a height of two hundred metres. A relatively new attraction, the balloon is located at Kadikoy, on Istanbul's Asian side. The balloon can hold thirty people, and remains stationary - so no chance of running into any buildings!
It's certainly a unique way to see the city.
How to get there
The balloon takes off from the sea bus port at kadikoy, on Istanbul's Asian side. Take a ferry from Eminonu to Kadikoy. The trip takes twenty-five minutes. Walk around one hundred and fifty metres to your right to the sea bus port.
It costs around 15 lira to take the tour, which operates from 9am to 6pm. If it's raining or windy, however, you may be out of luck.
