Gundogan is 18km from Bodrum. It is very close to the ancient Leleg city called Madnasa.
Farilya means 'Sunrise' in Turkish. Gundogan also means 'Sunrise' hence the name.
There are many establishments along the coast and a small harbour for charter boats.
While all water sports activities, such as windsurfing, parasailing, are available on the beach, Gundogan remains as one of the few quiet and peaceful bays in the Bodrum peninsula.
It is one of the more popular holiday resorts of recent years with its beaches and historic places. Gundogan is a fishermen's place with its fully sand beach, very clean sea and its greenery.
