Didim holiday home: Didim offers hot summers and top beaches at a relatively low cost. If you're after roast dinners and English pubs, head to Didim Town or Altinkum. For more sedate summer holidays, try Akbuk.
Didim investment property: Because the area is geared towards the cheap 'n cheerful holidaymaker, the capital gain of your investment property would be extremely slow. However, Akbuk is your best bet if you would like to invest in Didim property, it is still being developed and rising numbers of visitors are expected.
Didim permanent home: Summers are short in Didim, so it's very quiet in the off season. If you do have your heart set on the region, however, head to Akbuk, which is a little more genteel than its counterparts.
