The pretty town of Davutlar is just fifteen kilometres south of Kusadasi, it's worth heading to this small town for its old-town feel and the white, powdery sands of its beach.
The town is surrounded by pine and olive trees, and is known throughout the region for its produce, including peaches, tangerines, tomatoes and watermelons. These fruits are the mainstay of the town's economy, next to tourism.
Davutlar also boasts a number of hot springs and thermal baths, said to have healing properties for those with respiratory and skin problems.
In the summer you may be fending off the crowds - this small town of six thousand becomes a bustling centre of almost thirty-five thousand in the summer months.
If you're travelling from Kusadasi you can take the regular Kusadasi-Davutlar minibus from the station in the Centrum, or from the central bus station.
