Mount Tahtali,
Kemer, Antalya
Mount Tahtali lies at the heart
of the Antalya tourist region with several hundred-thousand hotel
beds conveniently found in close proximity, approximately a third of
which are in 5-star hotel establishments. The possibilities and
offers open to guests are boundless: swimming, diving, golf,
sailing, sunbathing, culture or the extremely popular excursions.
Here, Mount Tahtali offers a brand new experience, with a stupendous
view over the whole of southern Turkey and, naturally, the
sea.

Diversity is an important factor for any
successful tourist destination. And the contrasting experience the
Mount Tahtali Aerial Cableway provides is a masterpiece! Having
enjoyed sunbathing on sandy beaches in the morning, guests are then
able to while away the afternoons amid the pleasantly cool
temperatures of a snowy mountain summit. The aerial cableway brings
the mountains and sea closer together – the Tahtali cable car
provides Europe with a unique combination that is hard to
match.
Unique experiences await: approach through a
nature conservation area, modern base station, ride in a cabin with
a capacity of 80, summit station with panorama terrace, 360° view,
restaurant, short walks
...
Schedule The Tahtali Aerial
Cableway will start operating in September 2006, by which time
the time-consuming work on the supports and ropes will be complete
and the mountain-top and base station ready for use. The ambitious
project will be rounded off when the efficient, modern summit
restaurant opens in July of 2007.
Technical
data Swiss cable car engineering and safety standards
guarantee a safe and enjoyable trip up and away from the hustle and
bustle of everyday life. The Tahtali Aerial Cableway is being built
by the Doppelmayr/Garaventa Group, a world leader in the planning
and construction of cableways. The Doppelmayr/Garaventa Group sells
its products and services in over thirty countries around the world
and has constructed more than 13,000 cableways to date.
With
a length of 4,350 meters, the Tahtali Aerial Cableway is the longest
cableway in Europe, and the second longest worldwide. Despite
enormous technical and physical challenges, the project has
progressed according to plan throughout the construction period. A
clear sign that FAJOS A.S., the enterprise responsible, set a
realistic target that has also been achieved. The opening will take
place on schedule.
