Gumbet has rightfully found its claim as the sea and sand capital of Bodrum peninsula. Some find it a little tacky, as the Brits say, but it certainly has its fan club. Properties start from Euro 60,000 for 2 bedroom apartments, cheap as well.
If you wish to pop in to something a little more elegant, then you can always hop over to Bodrum, long walk but possible, or a taxi fare that won't break the bank. There is highly exclusive Bitez to the other side, a mere 2 kms from Gumbet. So, you can have your property in Gumbet and enjoy the rest of the peninsula as well. show less
