Gundogan guide for lifestyle, entertainment and attractions
Gundogan: Water Sports
Gundogan Summary
Gundogan is a beautiful, unspoiled village on the Bodrum Peninsula. Despite a number of holiday resorts, the village has a lovely atmosphere, retaining its old fishing-village charm.
There are a number of Norweigian, Dutch and English expats living in Gundogan, and a small but cohesive community has sprung up here. A number of Turkish military and diplomatic personnel have retirement homes in Gundogan, attracted to the peace and quiet.
During the summer Gundogan remains relatively peaceful - and it's a long summer, stretching almost to nine months of lovely weather. This mild weather means that a large variety of citrus fruits grow in the area, leaving a scent of oranges in the air.
Gundogan has a beautiful bay, with a small dock for yachts and fishing boats. There is a sailing and windsurfing school for anyone keen to get out on the water.
The available property in Gundogan ranges from traditional village houses to contemporary villas.
