Dalaman Paragliding
Dalaman Summary
Dalaman is located in southwest Turkey, in the Aegean region. The closest cities are Antalya 260 kilometres to the east; Denizli, 100 kilometres to the north, and Marmaris, 100 kilometres west. Fethiye is fifty kilometres southwest.
Dalaman has its own international airport, which operates all year round, and many direct flights from the UK. However, smaller airports in the UK may offer flights that go via Istanbul.

The Dalaman region is small and peaceful, and naturally beautiful, with forests and protected beaches. The region is home to 31,000 people during the off peak season and swells to 43,000 during the busier season. The weather is similar to that of Fethiye, typically Mediterranean.

The Dalaman region is best suited for those looking for quiet areas, a place for retirement, or somewhere with great natural beauty.

Permanent Homes in Dalaman

Dalaman holiday home: The peaceful Dalaman region will appeal to anyone looking for a quiet holiday spot. Nature-lovers will find plenty to do here, and links to European airports are excellent all year round. However, if you are looking for a sophisticated resort town, then Dalaman may fall rather short of expectation.

Dalaman investment property: Dalaman remains unchecked by tourism but this may well change. Investments here should be made with a long-term view. With the opening of the Hilton Golf and Spa resort in neighbouring Sarigerme, it could be argued that the appeal of Dalaman as a major tourist destination as well as for investment property should increase in the medium to long term. We would be short-changing you on advice, however, if we did not underline our viewpoint that the golf aspect in Sarigerme is not likely to mature for many years to come not least because of the well established Belek Golf Area in Antalya with superb facilities and over 15 internationally accredited golf courses.

Dalaman permanent home: Dalaman's tranquillity has a flipside - there's not a lot to do here. However, there are hospitals and schools in the vicinity, so if you like your peace a Dalaman permanent home could work.
