Bodrum town Summary
The main town on the Bodrum Peninsula, Bodrum has much to offer. There are excellent facilities, a stunning marina and a wealth of history. Bodrum is a vibrant, lively place, with nice bars and sophisticated cafes and restaurants. This town is renowned for its culture and sophistication.
There is a large expat community in Bodrum, attracted to the area's year-round lifestyle and activities. There's plenty to do, even during the winter months. In fact, many permanent residents who own villas or apartments in Bodrum prefer the winter as it's still mild but a little quieter without the tourists. It's a good place for families, who enjoy this community aspect coupled with proximity to Ortakent, home to the peninsula's sole international school.
Contributing to Bodrum Town's attraction is its marina. This large complex not only appeals to sailors, but to everyone, due to its shopping centre, supermarket, restaurants and cafes. During the day you can visit the bazaar.
