Bodrum's markets are legendary in the area. It's market day every day of the week in the town and its surrounds. Bodrum's Tuesday textile market sells fabrics from all over the region. It's worth taking your camera to capture the colourful spectacle. As well as the fabrics you can find kilims, carpets and clothing. Thursdays and Fridays are reserved for food markets, where you can find a mind-boggling array of fruits and vegetables - you can even buy four different kinds of carrots. There's a huge selection of cheeses, olives and bread. If your tastes run to the adventurous you can try the local mushrooms, and even nettles.
