Buying a Turkish island is the new trend of Turkish Property Boom
Turizm Haber, an internet publisher in the tourism sector, has conducted a research on summer holiday trends, daily Hürriyet reported. The research found that luxury vacations will be taken in the Far East and that the acquisition of private islands will boom in Turkey, Bahamas and Turks&Caicos. There are four islands for sale in Turkey already waiting for a buyer. Four years ago Çiçek Island in Ayvalik, approximately 400,000 square meters in size, was for sale for YTL 7.8 million (approx £2.5m). Due to lack of demand the price was dropped to YTL 6.8 million. Last week the owner of the island announced that this Turkish Aegean island is again for sale, this time for $11 million. And it seems this time it will be snapped pretty quickly.
Also last week three more islands in the Turkish Aegean region were announced to be for sale. The price for a 358,000 square meter island called Garip Island in Izmir Bademli Bay is set at $25 million. K?stas Island near Gökova of 56,000 square meters costs $ 5.5 million. Tavsan Island near Bozcaada, which is 980,000 square meters, is for sale for $10 million
