Location
Built on the steep hillside Villa Emma enjoys some of the most spectacular views on the Bodrum Peninsula. Looking out across the Aegean Sea towards the Greek Islands of Kos and Kaliminos one can just about make out the famous Rabbit Island, a short bus ride away. Villa Emma is one a number of properties that make up the Karya Elveri community set amongst Olive trees and abundant flowering shrubs and red, pink and white climbers. A small jetty at the base of the hillside provides sheltered bathing, parasols and sun beds and of course a bar serving drinks, traditional Turkish snacks, pancakes and refreshments.
Getting About
A car is recommended but an extremely efficient bus service operates practically every 15 mins until dawn taking you just a few miles or all the way to Bodrum. Taxis are also an option. The nearest bus (dolmus) stop is approx 10-15 mins walk away as is the nearest shop.
Villa Emma
The four bedroom property is situated on 2 floors with a ground floor and 1st floor terrace so that you may enjoy magnificent views whilst indulging in a light breakfast, lunch or BBQ. The upstairs terrace is the perfect place later in the evening to sip a cool glass of something and savour the twinkling of the stars above and countless lights below and all around. Both terraces have exterior lighting and the kitchen terrace has its own BBQ with purpose built chimney to ensure those chicken, meat or fish (balik) dishes are cooked to perfection. There is a hardwood table and 6 dinning chairs.
The entire flooring area of the villa was recently retiled with ceramic and marble stair tiles to recreate the authentic Turkish look. Likewise the entire kitchen was replaced with solid wood cabinets and granite work surfaces. There is a large fridge with freezer, a hob with three gas rings and one electric and also a combination grill oven.
Air conditioning cools the three upstairs bedrooms and a large unit the downstairs lounge area. All the utensils pots, pans, crockery and accessories you would normally expect to find are accommodated in generous cupboard space inc kettle toaster etc.
The ground floor is open plan with further dinning areas (table and six chairs) breakfast bar (four stools),
open fireplace and lounge area 2 bed settees. There is a large TV with satellite connection and a cd/dvd player. You will find a selection of CDS DVDS and books to enjoy.
There is a bedroom with a large double bed on the ground floor and a recently refitted and retiled shower room basin and toilet. A chilled water dispenser will help keep you hydrated. You will also find an iron and ironing board and a hairdryer.
Upstairs bedroom one has a double bed and doors leading on to the top terrace. Bedroom two has 2 single beds and bedroom three one single bed. There is generous wardrobe space available.
Another refitted retiled bathroom with shower and washing machine. The upstairs terrace has its own chairs and built in bench area to relax in. The swimming pool is open June to October
